Ain't they coolest toy ever. Even now I can get lost for hours in them with the boy. He got his older brother's and sister's lego plus he's been getting pieces since he was 2. We had some duplo but that got pretty much by-passed. Have you seen the Star Wars Death Star? That's what the boy wants but at £269.15, he knows that ain't going to be under the tree. Overall I think the price/value ratio is probably the best for any toy.

microwave ovens

Best: They sure come in handy when you're in a hurry.
Worst: I don't doubt that microwaving stuff in plastic containers is very bad for you (I do it anyway.  )

Wood burning stoves.

Best: I like the sound of the wood cracking as it burns!

Worst: Cutting and stacking the wood like I always had to when I was a teenager.

But they say: "he or she who cuts their own wood, is twice warmed".

Being home alone

Best: peace and quiet!

Worst: can get lazy

Best:  The look of them.  Sweeping instead of vac.

Worst:  Mopping!  Especially old wood floors that have been neglected.  It can be almost impossible to remove the sticky or get them to a nice sheen.

Christmas decorations

Best: They look very beautiful once they're all set up.

Worst: They are a pain to get set up at times.

Cats

Best: fun to stroke and feel the purrr

Worst: They are so damn uppity sometimes LOL

wee doggies (like chihuahuas, etc)

Best: They make you laugh and look so cute - dog in miniature.
Worst: yap yap yap

The Nutcracker Ballet

Best: culturally a good thing

Worst: I get roped into having to accompanying a certain someone

Gone with the Wind

Best:  Epic monument to the place and time in which it was created.
Worst:  Annoying stereotypes and ignorant racism that are tolerated because of the above.

Best: a really nice drink with so many variations

Best:  Nothing goes wrong with them for at least a couple years.

Worst:  The monthly payments.

Electric cars

Best: they're electric so got to be greener

Worst: long charging times compared to refueling with petrol
