(OMG I LOVE LEGOS!)

Best: Come on, their FREAKIN legos! Endless fun and creativity!

Worst: Following the instructions and needing one very teeny, very specific piece amid a sea of well over 10,000 pieces!

Your mother.

Ain't they coolest toy ever. Even now I can get lost for hours in them with the boy. He got his older brother's and sister's lego plus he's been getting pieces since he was 2. We had some duplo but that got pretty much by-passed. Have you seen the Star Wars Death Star? That's what the boy wants but at £269.15, he knows that ain't going to be under the tree. Overall I think the price/value ratio is probably the best for any toy.

Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

microwave ovens

Best: They sure come in handy when you're in a hurry.
Worst: I don't doubt that microwaving stuff in plastic containers is very bad for you (I do it anyway.  :-\\\\)

Best: I like the sound of the wood cracking as it burns!

Worst: Cutting and stacking the wood like I always had to when I was a teenager.

But they say: "he or she who cuts their own wood, is twice warmed".

Best:  The look of them.  Sweeping instead of vac.

Worst:  Mopping!  Especially old wood floors that have been neglected.  It can be almost impossible to remove the sticky or get them to a nice sheen.

Worst: Every American who tells you about their love for Monty Python when you say you married a Brit.
