Worst:  Putting everything back in it's place (backpacks and bits and pieces you brought with you) and doing the washing, basically getting things nice and tidy and organized again.

Best:  Once you've settled back in it feels good, and also getting back to your comfortable routine of your own food and your own bed.

Getting ready for a trip away.

Best: The anticipation keeps you in a good mood for weeks or months, depending on how far in advance you are planning.

Worst: Trying to pack realistically. I always want to take EVERYTHING, in case I need it.

Hooray for senility!  ;D Sorry about that.

Trying new brands of food.

Best:  You may end up with a new favorite brand.

Worst:  It could be a disappointment and then you're stuck with it 'til it's finished.

Being sick on your day off.

Best: Not losing a day's pay because you are off anyway.

Worst: Not being able to do anything on your day off, or doing it while feeling horrible.

Being in an unfamiliar city.

Being in an unfamiliar city.

Best: Trying/experiencing new things that you discover you love!

Worst: Trying to find your way around without getting lost! (Especially in big cities and driving!)

Best: Big repair expenses fall on the landlord, not you.

Worst: Smaller space and the chance of noisy/obnoxious neighbors.

Having corner shops on nearly every corner.

Having corner shops on nearly every corner.
That sounds like South Philly (and surrounding neighborhoods)!

Best:  It might mean I'm back home in the 'hood!

Worst:  I might long for my Yorkshire home again....

No shops for at least a few miles.

Best: You're less likely to nip out for something you are craving if you have to go farther and put more effort into getting it.

Worst: Emergency milk, bread or an ingredient you need quickly takes longer to get.

Budget hotels.

Budget hotels.

Best: Money savings if you need a place to stay just for the night

Worst: The beds are so hard most of the time!  :P

Best: Exercise if you are playing, entertainment if you are watching.

Worst: Injury if you are playing, huge expense to watch at the stadium.

A day at the park.

Best: Enjoying the view.

Worst: Unless you buy your tickets weeks in advance to get a good deal, the price can be insane.

Someone else cooking.
