I thought the London Dungeon wasn't worth what we paid for...........The concept was good but the rest was..........lacking....

has anyone watched "Creature from the Black Lagoon" it's rated G but is that right ???

I found it in 3-D so I thought it might be good but perhaps too docile considering that some of Jess' friends already play "Metal Gear solid" on their x-boxes at home.. :P

Totally agree.  We were really disappointed in the Dungeon.

This will be our first Halloween in the UK...we don't know how much we'll be able to do for it, since we'll only just have moved, though.  But I plan to buy out Michael's and Target before we leave for seasonal stuff!

I love Micheal's but it was a thing of hate with my dad one opened a shop next to dad's shop and it nearly killed his custom framing business

so everytime there was a Micheal's advert on the telie ..dad would curse the tv..oh dear!!

She'll just go over to the seasonal section and start buying up the shop over there.  I'd hate to see her w/my mother.  They'd probably need a van rather than a trolley.

I miss Trick or Treating with the kids, so we do it differently here.

I dress up, in my Elvira-esque garb, the Kids dress up, and we take out cauldron filled with candy and give it to strangers on the street. We have decided to perform a bit of twist on the trick or treat tradition, and since the UK doesn't know how to do it, properly, maybe we can bend people to this way of doing it.

It went over well, last year. And the chemist is hoping we come back, this year. We have already been asked. LOL!

I don't miss trick or treating entirely I do however miss it in the mall when it was packed with kids and we used to hand out candy at my dad's shop...it got a bit competative one year though when one shops started giving out sweets with advertising on it but it backfired because the kids didn't like the type of sweets ...my dad would spend a lot to get the sweets he knew the kids would like (nerds , blowpops or whatever) ..he still does it now but tells me it's not the same because it's 20+year olds now loitering trying to get sweets or asking for posters...what cheek!!

I definitely like celebrating it here because like I've said you can customise it to your liking my mates now go all out for it ! Here's two from last year:

If you love American-style Halloween, you'll be disappointed.

I had a total of about 10 trick or treaters for the entire 4 years I lived in London.
