I agree.  Diet Coke w/Splenda is revolting - do yourself a favor and don't try it.  :-X

Aww, really that bad? I was hoping to get away from Aspartame and thought splenda might be a "reasonable alternative".  There is just no answer is there than stop the stuff altogether!  :(

I love Spleda. I use it in my coffee and tea and on my cereal. My uncle turned me on to it a few years ago and I am hooked on it now. A few weeks ago my uncle died of brain cancer. I pray its not Splenda related!

The diet Coke w/Splenda is really nasty.... :P

I tried diet Coke Zero....reminded me of the diet Coke I get in the UK.  It was ok, but not as good as 'regular' diet Coke!

Got some of the pizza Cheetos for the kiddos and couldn't resist swiping a few.  Not bad.

I must find some of these chocolate and caramel Tollhouse morsels that Pebbles mentioned in another thread - they sound lovely!  Not sure if they're 'new' or not, but I saw Andes mint chocolate chips the last time I wandered down the baking aisle.

Lots of 'South Beach' products popping up all over - breakfast cereals, granola bars, frozen dinners, etc.  I don't do South Beach so I haven't tried most of them, although I did try the vanilla almond breakfast cereal and it was very nice.

Sun dried tomato and basil Wheat Thins are being advertised now, and I noticed cheddar Triscuits as well although I haven't actually tried them.

Yoplait does a very nice 'mousse' style yogurt now....yum!

I tend to buy the same things every time I go shopping, but you guys have got me curious now...I'll have to see what else 'new' has popped up recently!

When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

It's probably a personal thing, but I think Splenda is too sweet.  It makes everything it's in taste off to me.  Granted, I've never tried it in baked goods because it's so expensive, but I don't like it in any store-bought products.

I never touch artificial sweetners.  Gag!  They all taste chemically and heaven knows what they do to your body.  Mix fruit juice w/sparkling water, keep a jug of herbal tea in the fridge, crush lemon, lime or fruit slices into your water.  But 'diet' fizzy drinks - blech.  Probably all those fakey chemicals make you retain more water than a normal beverage.

I tried diet coke w/ splenda and ended up throwing the whole 2 liter away!!! Needless to say, I'm not a big splenda fan. I have started the juice w/ soda water here and I like it a lot better than cyrstal light and diet coke. I don't care for the diet coke here either, so I just stopped drinking it. Plus, it saves on the grocery bill ;)

Oh. Are you all missing the junk food in the states? It's all poison. "Poison, I tell you!"

*tease laugh, I like the junk food at times too...I can relate.*

I'm convinced the only reason I'm of a slim-average body is because I don't hit junk food. I drink up to a gallon of water a day. Key to being slim! Magic!

I am not beyond a bust-out on the junk. But know, it's addiction. Know, I have my addictions. ;-) Coke was the first addiction for most of us, yes? Sugar?

"The artist is not a person endowed with free will who seeks his own ends, but one who allows art to realize its purposes through him. As a human being he may have moods and a will and personal aims, but as an artist he is 'man' in a higher sense - he is 'collective man', a vehicle and molder of the unconscious psychic life of mankind"
