Ok 3 threads on the same topic is a bit excessive.

But what exactly do you mean by invitation letter?
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

If you mean the letter to accompany your fiancee's visa application - just one page detailing how, when and where you met, where you will live inthe uk and when you plan to get married should suffice.

I'm sorry but I am a bit confused by the way you type. So I will try and answer this and hope I read your question correctly, Yes you can write it all on one page and have it accompany your documents for your visa

It just needs to be a simple letter, don't make a mountain out of a molehill.

My name is X.  I am writing in support of the application for settlement visa of Y.

We met blah blah blah

She will reside blah blah blah

We plan to marry on such and such date (if you have a date confirmed with a church or something I'd include that).

I'd type out what Alex wrote.. but it's at the NY consulate at the moment  ;D
