We've finally chosen our names!  Whew.

If it's a girl, she'll be Roisin Louise.  If it's a boy, Logan Steven.

Now time to get the rest of it organised.   :D ;)

Oooooooh I like those names, Leigh!  :D

Ach I think I'm  getting broody over all this baby naming going on!  And the fact that I now know about 5 different people (friends or family) that are expecting or recently popped.   Actually, I had a weirdo dream a few weeks ago that I had a baby (where the MAN was in that picture, I have no idea!) and her name was Aisling.  Premonition or wishful thinking?  Maybe I've just got babies on the brain!  ;D

I plan to name my first daughter "Lux," hence my user name :)  It's from a movie I really like.  My mother hates it and say there's too many nasty words that rhyme with it like "Sucks" or "F%#!s" etc.  Maybe I'll change my mind in a few years.

DF likes "Rhys" for a boy.  He's half Welsh so he likes that spelling of it.  I think it's quite common now though?

When I lived on Logan Street in Denver, it was one of the happiest times of my life.  It was the first time I'd ever lived on my own, in my own flat (it was after my separation and divorce).  There was a wonderful cafe just down the street, a bar around the corner  ;D, and three of my closest friends all in walking distance.  Oh, and walking distance from work as well and from the yoga studio.  Had such a great time there, living in this quirky 1950s apartment building, having impromptu dinner parties, a gas cooker at long last.

DH found Logan as a name in a book as well.

Roisin we've always liked.  A dear friend had wanted another child, he had only one.  If he'd have another one and it had been a girl, that's what he would have called her.  We loved it, so we asked if we could use it.  It is Gaelic - both Scots and Irish - for 'rose'.

Logan's cool.  Like Wolverine from the X-men.   :)

Oh and Stacey, I hope you're enjoying the whole cultural connotation thing too. :)  Nora's a northern washer woman's name, Syd is a bin-man, Seth sounds like a Cornish Axe-murderer. ::)  And you wouldn't believe his reaction to Trevor for goodness sake.

I've always wanted to name a boy "Timothy Benjamin" (Ben after my grandfather, and timothy because i thought it sounded good with it.) But now I have an ex-bf named tim, so that one's out. Going to have find another name to go with Benjamin.... (but I seriously doubt I'll have to worry about that one for a looong time!)

If I ever have a girl, I love the name Esther.

I always wanted to name a daughter Genevieve (the French pronunciation) but the ex nixed it 'cause he couldn't spell it and a son Aubrey (the ex nixed that because he didn't want his son named after something you grow flowers on! That's an ARBOR, you dunce!).
