[Split] Teacher behaviour (was Living with Boys)

Oh I see.  How naff.  God how did these BOYS qualify to be teachers?! I don't want my child taught by idiots who think it's ok to have posters of semi naked women about the place!

OT:
eh?? I know a few teachers (age 23-25) and they are fine teachers...you've got to start somewhere ???...as long as they aren't bringing FHM magazines of Abi Titmus to their classroom or promoting overtly sexual behaviour to their students....what wrong them putting a naked picture in their own house ??? It's Nelly furtado not exactly the road to debauchery or hedonism... :P

Personally I'm not up for posters around a communal area that might be tacky but I'm not going to think that my daughter's teachers are "Saintly" 24/7... ???

Are there any more rooms available how big is this house ???
tough luck ...but maybe he has a cute older brother that pops in from time to time... :-\\\\
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

I asked Cait to split this off the original thread because I was going off topic.

I'm not so naieve to think no-one professional uses porn or has dodgy posters or reads FHM or whatever but it does worry me a little that a guy who might be responsible for my son's education in his early formative years might bring to the classroom with him questionable attitudes to the sexual objectification of women.  Maybe a semi naked poster of Nelly Furtado isn't seen by a lot of people as objectifying female sexuality, but to me it is.  I'm not saying people can't do what they like at home (as long as it's legal!) - just as long as it stays at home.  Bit like if I found out a teacher was a member of the BNP.   I'd worry about how those attitudes would affect his (or her) general outlook and how that might manifest itself in the classroom.

I think you are mis-reading my post. I said it's his attitude that needs to stay at home.  ;)

I just read a big jump from a guy with a poster in his own home to judging how he handles his own students...oh well...different strokes different strokes.

Quite possibly but that doesn't alter my opinion.   Maybe I AM naieve after all. It always comes as a shock to me when I find out guys I know read Playboy or watch porn vids.

It's tacky and I agree. I also agree that if I find out that one of my daugther's teacher is into Playboy then there's something wrong ..that type of info should not be floating about..there is a difference between a healthy sexual lifestyle and knowing it's proper place for it.......but it's Nelly Furtado not exactly someone that is well known for great baps she's an international musical star that's more cerebral than sexual...
