Did he go into the water?  It's pretty cold up here.  We stuck Aillidh's feet in it, but she was none too happy about that!   ;D

He went in to waist deep.  The water was a bit chilly, but not too bad.

What did you think of Frinton?

It's definitely less commercial than Brighton, Clacton and Southend.  No sellers on the sea front, just beaches and beach huts -- I rather liked that.  The beach was remarkably clean and litter free, probably due in part to the fact that there are no food stalls around.

We arrived at the final half an hour of high tide which meant there wasn't much beach to be found.  We did manage to find a small spot that stayed dry.  We were at the opposite end to the golf club, so I'm not sure how much beach could be found at that end.
