Agreed...even worse than Tang! I remember moms making it for birthday parties. I was kinda lucky as my mom was sort of a "health nut" back then...no Wonder bread, bologna or Fluff for me. She did make me drink skim milk though...which was blue and watery back then for some reason. No wonder I didn't drink much milk until I got pregnant with my first child!

Too funny......hot summer days.....ZAY-REX (warm), peanut butter and Fluff sandwiches and a swim in a pool with WAY TOO much chlorine.....(Ma,Is there anything else to eat?.......I'm starved" :P)

Remember those candy packages they used to have years ago, with the candy stick, and the packaged dried tang, or kool-aid type stuff, that you used to dip the candy stick in, and lick it off? What was that called?

The still have those, don't they? Seems like I've seen them here. Or maybe they don't have the syrup inside, just coloring? They look like miniature coke bottles.

Candy necklaces and bracelets from the ice cream man.

Every once in a while nostalgia hits me and I have to buy one of those - luckily the corner shop carries them.

I really miss the penny candy shop. I felt soooo "powerful" with my little brown paper bag in hand, picking out 25 pieces of candy...25 pieces!!!!....for only a quarter. All those rows and rows of jars...what excitement!

Our local market always had a box of swedish red fish and a jar with pretzel sticks for a nickel each.  :)
