I have had the limes ones and can vouch for the fact that are indeed DELISH! I'm glad I'm not the only one who can polish off a box by myself! I didn't know about the blackcurrant ones, though. Those sound even better!

wow....i didn't even know they came in different flavors!!!

i bought what i thought was the "jaffa cakes".....my DH loves them so i figured i should have the experience as well.  it turns out that i bought the wrong ones...some new "retro" jaffa cake or something...kinda looked like a hostess ho-ho (or is it ding dong...i can't remember) with this jelly orange crap inside that was kinda like turkish delight (i HATE that crap!!) with a spongy dry cake all covered in a chocolate.  needless to say i had one bite and spit it out.

anyway....now i'm a little bit scarred from that incident....and haven't ventured out to try the real "jaffa cake".  maybe i'll look tomorrow when i go to the store and see if i can find the different flavors.....  i'd definitely be down to try the raspberry and cherry ones....i dunno about the lemon lime one....

Someone mentioned Lidl.  This is true.  I've been buying Raspberry Jaffa Cakes there for over 2 years.  Not a name brand I recognise - but delicious never the less!
They are always in stock at my local Lidl here in Poole.  Very inexpensive as well!

ok....i finally got the real jaffa cakes....in orange and blackcurrant (i couldn't find cherry, raspberry or lemon line).  i must say....that i didn't really care for either of them.  i know, i know....some of you probably swear by jaffa cakes....but i just can't do it.  the spongy cake part is great...i think i could eat those all day long.  it's the flavored jelly stuff that gets me every time.  i just can't do it.....altho i will say i liked the orange flavore better than the blackcurrant.  i told my DH that he can eat all of them....he didn't seem to have a problem with that.   :)

No, they're not the best thing i've ever tasted... but they might possibly be the best thing i ever tasted which only had 1 gram of fat per biscuit!   ;)

Hee hee... this thread popped up while I'm in the middle of noshing on some jaffa cakes!  Sadly, the orange ones are the only flavor I can find here.  Not that I'm complaining, of course... :D

Here's a link for you, Dawn:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaffa_Cake

I love how Wikipedia has an entry on absolutely EVERYTHING!

It's the second most-useful website ever.  After Google, of course.
