Hee hee... this thread popped up while I'm in the middle of noshing on some jaffa cakes!  Sadly, the orange ones are the only flavor I can find here.  Not that I'm complaining, of course... :D

Here's a link for you, Dawn:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaffa_Cake

Those sound absolutely delicious. Where can I find them in the US?

Yall have some of the best stuff over there!

The Stop & Shop near me in the US used to have them in the imported food aisle. You might check that out. Otherwise ... make friends with some of us here and you might finagle yourself a care package! ;)

I'll be glad to do a "mail trade" with you!  ;D ;D The raspberry and the orange sound to die for. I love a good sweet and those sound like nothing I have seen in the states and believe me I know my sweets!

Just bought some blackcurrant jaffa cakes at Sainsburys...haven't tried them yet.

For the US folks....I've been able to find something real similar to jaffa cakes at both Target and Albertsons.  They're called 'Pims' and I believe they come from France.  Not quite the same, but close enough in a pinch!
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

OMG! You're right! I remember having these in the US now! They're made by LU.

I recently discovered that my local supermarket carries jaffa cakes all the time!  The hard part is not buying a box every time I go shopping.

We were in Waitrose over the weekend and they had a 3 for 2 jaffa cake offer.  We bought some blackcurrant ones-very tasty!

Are you kidding, the hard part is not eating a box everytime I buy one.  :P

Which is exactly why I've had to avoid the aisle they're on.  I can't tell you how many times I've sat down and thought "I'll just have two" and look down only to realize that I've polished off the box. :-[

I was at my local shop yesterday and found a box of Berry Jaffa Cakes. They were alright. I have to admit, though, the regular orange is still the best.

M&S does a fantastic jaffa cake. They have the entire biscuit covered in the orange jelly which I really like.

I like the M&S ones too, especially the mini ones.
