Pathetic display!
« on: September 21, 2005, 04:02:54 PM »
Today was Coby's first day of preschool. He was so excited about wearing his new school clothes like his older brothers he would'nt even eat his lunch. All he kept saying all morning was "school now, mom?" Me and Frank took him at 12:30. Coby was very nervous and excited at the same time. We went in and he sat down and started to play with the play-dough. I felt myself welling up so I told him good bye and I would see him later. He just looked up at me with puppy dog eyes and I lost it! One of the teachers asked if I was OK and I nodded and ran out the door before Coby saw me. Frank was outside and made things worse by sympathizing with me.
After we dropped Coby off we went to Tesco and I walked around with a tear stained face. What is wrong with me? I have 4 sons! I should be glad to get rid of them a few hours a day!

Awww.....((((((hugs))))) Pebbles.....

They're still our babies, no matter how old they get.  My 11yo started middle school this year and I got all teary when I dropped her off.  My baby is growing up!  :(
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Awww, Pebbles, that's so sweet!  I can't wait to have kiddies.
Although, at the rate I'm going, I'll be a complete puddle by then.  I teared-up when my 19-year-old sister started her first job the other day.   ::)

Hugs, Pebbles.  I swear it got harder with each child.   :)  My first one I was shoving out the door, but with my baby I cried and cried.

That was so sweet.  I can totally see that happening to me one day.  I hope he has a good day and loves going to school!

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Again I'm in tears here. Also its my TOM so that probably doesnt help matters!

Coby did just fine. When I picked him up he came out looking very tired and disoriented. I said "Coby, you OK?" and he looked at me as if he did'nt know who I was. I got him to the car and he started babbling about his day. Hopefully we will both be better tomorrow.

So handsome and grown up (guess you don't want to hear that!)

My twins were exhausted at the end of the day for most of the year last year during reception. They were the youngest, barely 4 when they started.  At first I didn't want them to start...but I must say that I got used to their going to bed at 7 pm without a peep quite easily!

I can only guess how you feel, but I'm pretty certain I'll be a basket case when Niall's first day comes rolling around.

Girlfriend, you have NO idea! I referred to myself as "basket case" more than a few times today.

No, but youre right  :\\\'(
Coby always goes to bed at 7pm without any problems anyway but tonight I may shoot for 6:30. He's a bit zombie-ish at the moment.

no to worry Pebbles I've had the welling up moments when I see Jess getting older and now we have to share her with others ...no , no , no!!!

I remember on her first birthday we took Jess to Thorpe park ...Phil and I were in tears

Jessie's first ride on the ferrys wheel we completely lost it.... :-[
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.
