Ziplock bags.

But you can probably save some space in your luggage if you leave behind the make up, deo etc, unless they are special brands you can't get over here.

I know it's not food and I always say this but sheets! Good quality bed linen can be pricey here so if you love your flannel sheets and fancy sheet sets bring them from the US.

Incidentally, I still have two beautiful sets (I think I got them from TKMaxx) still in excellent condition from 8 years ago!

Good one Ladies!

Cella I dont know if you are bottle or breast feeding........but if you are bottle I would bring powder formula that she is drinking.......they don't have similac or the other one here.......you would have to switch her to what ever is sold here and it might upset her tummy..........

just a thought

She's right, I totally forgot towels! They are also on the pricey side for the good quality ones.

Yep, I am weird but I have a sheet/towel fetish, lovely new fresh ones, yum!

thank you ladies! :)

I ended up going to The Christmas Tree shop yesterday and did alot of impulse shopping  :-X  I got so many Thanksgiving decorations that my dh nearly fell over, I got alot of Halloween deco's to,  let's just say I went as far as buying Happy Halloween socks  [smiley=laugh.gif]

I wish I would have checked for reply's to this thread before I went on my adventure as I had no idea about the towels and sheets..This will be another future mission, I did get washclothes though I also ended up at Target and found a 12 pack of multi colored clothes for $4.99  there I also got my toddlers halloween costume she's going to be Elmo..:)

I found a nice woden flag pole at the x-mas tree shop for $4.00 and baught a halloween flag, thanksgiving and x-mas flag..I also got the hardware for the flag pole for $2.00 \o/

As you can imagine my hubby is a bit like what the......but I am adamant about celebrating our traditions over there and want to keep the feel of it by decorating, my plan is to have his entire family join us for a Thanksgiving dinner this year.

anyway choccy chips, formula, sheets, towels, clothes, hair n nail appt, a few odds n ends and I should be completely prepared for the trip over!!

I hope some of those choccie chips..you will bring some for me!! I will give you the money when you get here!

umm I don't know what your new house is going to be made from or what it looks like..but I wanted a flag pole and the flags on them and David said no.. cause our house is made from stone and has been plastered on the outside..but then ours is almost 200yrs old. He said he didn't think he had a drill that would even touch it.

I'm so jealous! Halloween deccies.......Christmas deccies.........oh how I wish for hobby lobby!  :\\\'( Garden Ridge Pottery..........  :\\\'(

I feel an urge to do something crafty!!!!! hot glue gun..*gasp* ribbon...*gasp* can't stop myself.......AHHHH puffy paints........NOOoooo  ;D

I hope you bring her around here! I want trick or treaters.....should have loads of candy!

Cella........how you gonna get all this stuff over???? You will look like a film star with 25 suitcases........LOL

you will have to come over from the UK on the Ferry........the airlines to the IOM only allows 20K per person....... :-X
or you will have to pay for excess baggage.............

Or ship it now to get here a few weeks after you! Send it to your MIL....When I sent stuff last year it took 7 weeks and I posted it about the 1st of November and it got here just before Christmas.....

Good for you!  I used to go to the Christmas Tree Shops in Milford, amazed at all the very cheap stuff one could get! Not so unimportantly, they used to sell Toblerone which was good for a European choccy fix when I needed it!

Anyway, back to topic (sorry!) LOL!
