What is in the UK Fiancee visa envelope?

Hi all,

My fiancee is in the US and *we think* she just received her fiancee visa - we just need confirmation.

The contents of the envelope she received are:

- All our original application papers (my passport, bank statements, payslips, sponsor letter, etc.)
and
- Her passport with a slip of paper inside it which looks like a visa

I was hoping there'd be a confirmation letter in the envelope or some kind of instruction leaflet, but maybe that's not really necessary.

Please can anyone who has received a fiancee visa for the UK confirm or deny that these are the sole contents of the envelope you receive?

What does the slip say?

My fiance visa was a huge sticker on one of the pages of my passport that says UK entry clearance with my name,my husbands name, and etc

When you say a slip of paper inside the passport, do you mean a loose paper or a sticker like Ebgland's Yank describes that says UK Entry Clearance? If the latter, that's the visa.

Just called my fiancee to clarify and found out she received an email after receiving the visa confirming that the visa application had been successful.

In case it helps anyone else here, there was a sticker in the passport which among other information said:

"UK entry clearance"
my name + birthdate
my fiancee's name + birthdate + photo

It's the sticker that matters Congrats, she's official
