Hello! moving in Sept./Oct.
« on: August 04, 2002, 02:36:39 AM »
Hello!  My husband just got his job offer and we will be moving over in late Sept./early Oct.  I am looking forward to learning a lot from this forum and the UK Yankee website.

Cheers!
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie and welcome.  Hey, maybe we're cousins, my maiden name is Lathrop :) I haven't met anyone over here with that name-thought that I might. Anyway, you'll find this to be a really useful site with lots of nice people.  welcome.

Hi Stephanie!  Nice to have you here!

(I recognize your name for some reason...are on another email expat group?)

Congrats on the job offer!  You must be excited and a wee bit panicy right about now, eh?  Don't worry, it'll all fall into place, you'll be over here complaining about transportation and rain before you know it.  :)

Best of luck in your move and anything you need to know, this is a great group full of wonderful info.  Just ask!

Welcome Stephanie!  You must be very excited and very busy!  Lot's to do now that you know you're going for sure, yeah?  [smiley=wideeyed.gif]   We're going over at around the same time (late October).  I've been coming to this site since June and it's really helped me to prepare (plus given lots of emotional support too!!).  Glad to have you here! Life should NOT be a journey to the
grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand,
wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
