even though, what I want to do, is to rest.

I hear that!  This damn anaemia is really testing my mettle, but I still need to work both my jobs till at least the first week in December.   :D  Gotta keep that fake smile plastered on and keep chugging along as best as possible - it's just another bump in the road!  When I had severe post-natal depression, and I still had to go out to work or be homeless, it involved a lot of fake smiling.  Chin up and best of luck!

31 weeks and counting!  I'm telling it it needs to stay in there and cook till at least 9 December, my last day at work.  So I'll still have time to get in another report for my Law Society job!  ;D Need to get those reports churning so I can get on a committee.  Also, Andrew starts his weekend bar staffing jobs for extra money the last week in November, so bean's gotta hold off a bit.

Roll on, holidays!

Trying to.  Things appear hopeless, but I have been applying like crazy today to a bunch of things online and hoping that something GOOD comes of it.

Sorry to hear about the outcome of your interview. I can imagine how you are feeling right now, it can be a terrible experience when you have to hang on to a job you are bored with.

You wake up in the mornings saying God i have to report to that place again. How easy is it changing jobs in UK? Sincerely hope you get another work fast, so you can start feeling fulfilled again.

Wish you all the best as you job search.

It's not that it's boring, it's that it has become demeaning and utterly physically and emotionally draining and exhausting, taking a real toll on my already poor health.  The new manageress has had something against me from day one (because she is insecure and defensive), and is making working there a complete misery.

Thank you for the the well wishes; I appreciate it.  I keep searching, and handed my CV into Specsavers just a few minutes ago.   I have taken this week off and am going to go out on Tuesday with a friend (she'll be there for moral support) to hand out my CV everywhere, like throwing out a fishing line....hoping to get a nibble somewhere decent.
