Single cream has a higher fat content than half and half.  18 grams/100 ml versus 12.3 grams/100 ml.

I dislike all fake foods - synthetic sweetners, additive-laden rubbish, etc.  Coffee creamer is pretty fake.  They do sell powdered milk here, which you can use in coffee as well.  You could mix it w/sugar and make it sort of coffee creamer.

BTW, just popped into Sainsburys and I see they have Be Good to Yourself 9% fat pouring cream.  It's less than Waitrose's 12.3% half cream, but I haven't tried it in my coffee yet.  Well give it a go tomorrow morning and let you know how it goes.

Used it in my coffee this morning.  Didn't turn it as 'white' as the 12.3% fat, but it worked for me.   :D

Looked for soya cream in Sainsburys and Holland & Barrett today with no luck.
Will try the local independent health food shop next weekend.

I found the Soya Cream in Morrison's of all places!  I have tried this morning and it was very good! Although it's more fattening than the Elmlea I usually sling in my coffee, I'd be happier to get away from the dairy aspect.....

A touch of bourbon REAL vanilla extract with single cream (reduced fat if you like) will make that coffee taste oh so much better than fake stuff.  You can also infuse powdered milk with a vanilla bean or boil milk with a vanilla bean in it if you must have vanilla flavour in your coffee.

Lol!!  Well in that case.... forget the bourbon and go for the Baileys!

 ;D

Hee hee....

I guess if you drank a shot full of the stuff you might be able to get drunk... though the idea of a shot of vanilla extract.... EW.... :-X

I'll check there.. thanks!
Was it on the shelf with the other soya milks, or was it refrigerated?

BTW, if any Coffee-Mate fans like the cinnamon vanilla flavour, this guy sells it online...

I get my soya cream at Sainsbury's.  They shelve it next to the evaporated and condensed milks.
