AWESOME!  I watched the game live tonight, it was brilliant!

I'm going to try and buy World Series tickets over the phone on Tuesday morning, but who knows what will happen...

Good for the Pale Sox.....they swept my beloved Red Sox in 3 but they,ve got depth, power and pitching and peaked at the right time........I would,nt worry about St. Louis but Houston's got a good package and they're peaking too......that'd be a great World Series.....Sox just need to keep focusing on the finish line.

Ditto.

At least it hasn't been over 45 years since the Angels last won.  ;D

Although they suck, I've been a lifetime Orioles fan, I grew up close to Baltimore,so I guess its in my roots.

Maybe you're too young to remember BUT the Orioles have had great teams in the past and are batting 500 as far as World Series go....(Won in'66,'70, '83.........Lost in '69,'71,'79)......although I'm a card carrying member of Red Sox Nation give me Jim Palmer on the hill in a must win game on a sunny day in September any day...............try being a Red Sox fan for 40 years :P

Wooo!  O's fan here as well, although it's been damn hard supporting them these past few years.
Where'd you grow up near Baltimore, EY?  I grew up in Carney (east of Towson).

I grew up in Delaware, about an hour from Baltimore. But my mother and her side of the family all grew up in Baltimore,so everyone on her side is a huge O's fan. My grandmother is the worse, everything is the O's in her house lol

We used to go to Bethany Beach, Del every year for summer holiday.  I suspect you grew up more towards the Newark area, or perhaps Wilmington?

Your grandma's house must look a bit like our third bedroom (what we call the Orioles room, stuff we've picked up over the years).  I heard they picked up one of the best pitching coaches around, Mazzone, from the Atlanta Braves, ie the guy who got Smoltz and those other guys and is supposed to be a magic-maker when it comes to building pitching staff.  Let's hope for the best in future!
