We've had the Mission flour tortillas and honestly the Sainsbury and Tesco ones are just as good.

I haven't bought one pack of tortillas here that hasn't had half of them stuck together. I gave up and just buy wraps now.

If you see the Chipotle flavor Tabasco sauce, grab it. It's very yummy, not quite what you are looking for in terms of Del Taco/Taco Bell sort of taco sauce but good all the same. It also makes a nice dip mixed with sour cream and is great on sandwiches mixed with mayo (think Subway's southwest sauce). It should be relatively easy for you to find.

I used to work at Taco Bell in the states as a store manager, our tortillas would stick together as well, we actually had a policy, that you had to 'fluff' the package before you put them in the warmer. Fluff meant, well, grabbing the sides of the package, and gently moving back and forth, to loosen the tortillas in the package. It would seperate them, before you even opened them. Then they got stuck in a heater cabinet, and when removed to be used, would not stick!!

whats the difference between the tortillas and the wraps?   They're just the same to me, except the wraps are bigger.

If you stick the tortillas in the microwave for just a few seconds, they un-stick!

Now I'm confused and am not sure what wraps are...don't think I've ever bought them, just tortillas or chapattis.

Does any place carry monterey jack cheese to go with these great Mexican products from Lupe Pintos (I've got to place an order!)?

ooh! I have a question on the subject of yummie Mexi-food!

Has anyone bought CORN tortillas in the UK ever? (vs. the flour ones)
Corn tortillas are nice when flash fried for a few secs... like a (corn) taco shell, only soft.  Heaven...

UK sucks for good Mexican food.  Ortega gets you by, but its not great.  I miss my old local Mexican grocery stores...  *sigh*  ...the stuff you take for granted...   :-\\\\

Old El Paso has a corn tortilla package here that is relatively easy to find, and Discovery has an even better corn tortilla but that's harder to find and I am not even sure they still sell it. But you can find something that will pass to do the job.

The corn tortillas they sell in Lupe Pintos are exactly like the ones i could buy in the supermarkets back in California.
However, (and i never DREAMED i would say this!!)  im starting to reeeeallly like the Old El Paso 'corn' tortillas... they are like a cross between yellow corn and flour tortillas, and i think they're super nice... although they did take some getting used to.

Wraps are thinner. Tortillas are thicker. All the ones I've had at least.
