Oatmeal Cookies
« on: October 31, 2005, 06:01:53 PM »
I am so in the mood for oatmeal cookies (I have this great candle that smells like them, I can't stop smelling it)  Can we buy them here?  I don't remember seeing them before.

Thanks!

Could have sworn I've seen Pepperidge Farm oatmeal cookies here.  I have seen store bakery versions.
Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

Well, they taste like Hobnob's - but Hobnob's are great anyway... I know you can get oatmeal cookies at "Millies Cookies" though!

Why not make your own? If the cookies (BISQUITS) ;D aren't here, the ingredients sure are!! Now I'm craving them, with raisins........oh man, and when I was a teenager, I used to make chocolate m&m cookies......then you freeze them for a bit, dollop some vanilla ice cream between them, freeze them a bit more, and you've got yummy ice cream sandwiches.......and I do miss the regular ice cream sandwiches we used to get back home!!

ooh Its It sandwiches... ice cream between 2 oatmeal cookies covered in chocolate... the other SF treat  ;D

Hobnobs are a good substitute... "worse" yet, chocolate covered Hobnobs.  ;)

I grew up with Mother's Oatmeal Cookies... old fashioned style with the sugar glaze. That was a special treat!

Stacey,  I'll post my oatmeal raisin cookie recipe tonight.  They're low fat (3 g per cookie) but they're sooo good!  And they're simple -- even YOU can make them!  ;)

Sainsbury's does an "American Cookie" range - they're kind of like Mrs Fields or Great American Cookie Company cookies.  They make white chocolate & cranberry, double chocolate, and oatmeal & raisin (among others).  Their oatmeal raisin ones are AWESOME.... ;D
