Spielberg , Tarantino just threw it as an example on how directors use filmaking as a cathrasis for their own emotional baggage sort of speak....I do agree that Coppola can be overrated at times but for someone that age she's pretty good..Plus the fact that I took a bunch of hoodie wearing problematic patients who's idea of entertainment is the Hollyoaks omnibus to go and see it. They sat through it and mildly appreciated it so it serves it's purpose. Directors nick stuff from other directors some are just better at it than other.. :-\\\\

sorry no more hijacking :-[

currently watching :

Buster keaton - The electric house.
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Mini's First Time

A wholly amoral, nihilistic teen woman arranges for the lives of adults to be destroyed. What The Opposite of Sex began in a witty and life-affirming way, the indywoods have strangled. If Pretty Persuasion was too much for you, then Mini's First Time raises the ante. It's a shame, since you'd think Alex Baldwin, Jeff Goldblum, Carrie Ann Moss, and Luke Wilson=good movie, but this was a case where actors saw a good role, but missed the script's naseautingly grim larger picture (hint read the unhighlighted lines for a change).

The only way to remove the bad taste this film creates would be to rush and watch Little Miss Sunshine all over again.

We watched "Bartleby" a few days ago. What a weird but very cool movie. One of Melville's "lesser known" novels - it is absolutely nothing like "Moby Dick". Just really oddly strident in its message.

I know I'm late - where's the booze?

It's a short story actually, not longer than 10 pages. The movie is great, but the story is even better. Check it out, since it's practically social realism for anyone who has ever worked in an office - it's the original David Brent.
