Kingdom of Heaven, last night.  Thought it was pretty good.  Does well showing the stupidity of war.

It's a Wonderful Life.  It was my first time seeing it and I really liked it...for once my husband's friend picked a good movie for our monthly movie night, although I guess it's hard to go wrong with a classic  :)

The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Not necessarily classic Christmas, but good none-the-less!

i made my bf watch the orginal Miracle on 34th Street and he loved it.  He was really surprised.  Thought it was funny, well paced, and wasn't overly sappy.  Hooray!!

Love that one!  Tim Burton is a genius.

We watched In Her Shoes last night, which I thought wouldnt be as good as the book, but I was pleasantly surprised!

Ten till Noon

a failed indy film, a Roshoman-type film where the same ten minutes are told from everyone's perspective. But mainly homophobic and sort of sleezy.

This Revolution

The remake of Medium Cool. It changes a few points, but is really held back by its relative lack of ideas. Go see the original by Haskell Wexler for a film that is operating cognitively at so many higher levels. Wexler went on to have a very successful career as a cinematographer. Medium Cool is one of the great achievements of late 60s American film making before the Scorsese-era.

Little Miss Sunshine
Alan Arkin was fantastic as was the rest of the cast, but he had me in laughing during all of his scenes.

Doom.

The movie wasn't completely terrible but it wasn't much either.  The best part was drooling over The Rock  ;D
