The History Boys, which was ok, but not at all the kind of movie I was expecting from the previews.

Children of Men (like Tristessa)

I loved it, but am glad I could fastforward through the chase/fight scenes.
had a bit of a wobble.

The pilot mini series for Battlestar Galactica.  Now I'm hooked and we have to buy season 1 on DVD!

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Saturday Night and Sunday Morning - starring a young, sexy and be-quiffed Albert Finney!  [smiley=heart.gif]

Dogtown and Z-Boys

and The Lords of Dogtown

Both really good.  I actually watched Lords first and was told about the Documentary (Dogtown and Z-Boys) afterwards, so I watched them both again.

Bummer! We were watching it and I kept saying how I heard some people just didn't really like it. I really liked the characters (and the actors who played them) and I thought it was neat how they developed throughout the movie.

I agree. Visually, it was a great film, and I did absolutely love the soundtrack...but it just didn't work on a lot of levels. I wasn't as impressed with the acting as I expected to be, for one.

I just finished watching the documentary Paradise Lost for a class. Very sad.
