Cinema Paradiso - the director's cut. Other half had never seen it and I can never tire of watching it...

The last DVD I watched was "The 40-Year-Old Virgin". I thought it was actually quite funny. ;D

I actually own that film and I rarely buy any dvd's.  Steve Carrell is adorable in that and it is filthy funny - but sweet.

Knocked Up, on the other hand, was putrid. :-\\\\

"The 40-Year-Old Virgin" is definitely one I'm considering buying for my own collection.  ;D

As far as "Knocked Up", I'm not surprised! I haven't seen it, but the ads for it don't really make me want to, either. Just doesn't seem like it's any good at all.

I saw it because it got such good reviews but it was just awful - really geared towards slacker men rather than women.  And not funny. The audience was silent.  :-X

At Knocked UP?  Wow, our audience was in tears laughing the whole time.  The ladies, the men, all of us.  My sister and her friends too, who all told us to see it.

I thought 40 year old Virgin was ehh, I think it was all the hype involved in it though, that always happens to me if I hear to much before I see something.

I had the same experience seeing Knocked Up, everyone in the cinema seemed to be laughing throughout.  I thought it was quite funny, but maybe not quite as good as The 40 Year Old Virgin.

I really liked Knocked Up as well.  I saw the 40 Year Old Virgin on the plane so I think I need to see it again without being asked chicken or fish.
