Bobby. The first hour dragged mercilessly but the last half hour was very emotional and sad. The photos of him at the end with JFK were very touching.  They seemed very close.  :-\\\\

Juno
I cried.
I really liked Juno too--don't think I cried though.  Juno reminded me of an old co-worker of mine.

We both thought it was excellent.  At first I was disappointed with the end too but after we talked about it I grew to like it.  Did you notice there was pretty much no music during the entire film?

Love the Coen Brothers, this was quite different from their others.

Life is Beautiful.  Not sure what I thought - kindof too amusing and peppy for my taste in dealing with life in a concentration camp. Sad ending though... :-\\\\

That's one of dh's all time favourite films - we've seen it a zillion times and it never fails to reduce us both to sobbing wrecks!!

I just watched the first half of Factory Girl before either the disk or our player decided it wasn't enjoying playing.  >:(

Life is Beautiful is one of my all-time favorite movies too!  I tried to share it with DH once when he was visiting me in the US (back when we were dating), but he had jet lag and actually had the nerve to FALL ASLEEP in the middle of it! ::)  Five years on, I still don't think I've completely forgiven him for that... :P

It's on our Lovefilm rental list, so someday it'll turn up!

A Scanner Darkly - I could have lived the remainder of my life quite happily never having seen this film!  What a waste of two hours... :-\\\\  (one of Steve's picks but I don't think he liked it much either)

The Holiday - Meh.  We both confessed to being kind of bored with it long before the film ended.  And for some reason, I found Cameron Diaz really annoying as well...

We will now be on to watching several films about the Spanish Civil War, as Steve is going to do his Spanish class presentation this year - something to do with the depiction of the Spanish Civil War in films...

I really liked A Scanner Darkly.

We saw Cloverfield last week and Sweeny Todd the week before.  One thing I can say about Cambridge, it is hard to beat two tickets for £5.00.

I made DH watch Resident Evil since #3 is coming out on dvd and I haven't seen it yet.

This week we will go see Juno I suppose or No Country for Old Men.

I saw Alpha Dog on the plane over and thought it was quite good considering all the young actors in it.

Soon to see Jumper, National Treasure, and sadly the Rambo film which is my husband's choice.  However, considering the pain I caused by making him see AVP:R I suppose I deserve it.

I never thought that AvP would be the better of the two films.

Across the Universe, a really good film with Beatles songs and a kind of hippy trip style to it.

Munich - very thought provoking.  The ending is sooo depressing..
