The Devil's Backbone, a 2001 film directed by Guillermo del Toro

Great flick!  Thematically similar to Pan's Labyrinth - same director.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

three and a half of the alien films.

All different directors.

I finished dinner before I finished Alien Resurrection. And it was just about at the point where the screaming had started.

We just saw it.  It was good but not great.  If it wasn't for my love of all things Irish I think I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.  The time scale was a bit unrealistic for writing the lyrics, finding a band making a CD, etc all in just a few days.  But it was sweet.

Yes, I see what you mean. And I agree about about the time scale of events being a bit unrealistic.

I really liked the music, which stood out the most for me. And I liked the relationship between the two characters.

I was pretty mad about how that turned out.  The graphic novel was, of course, so much better.

Candy-film about two heroin junkies in love.  Stars Heath Ledger, Geoffery Rush, and Abbie Cornish.  Was really very good.
