The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill

i live in san francisco and just discovered these parrots when my hubs was here visiting in november!  They are so loud and obnoxious, chasing each other from tree to tree and just playing in general.  We both sat on a park bench watching them!  You just wouldnt believe how much noise they all make!! ;D

Bit of a hijack: I just signed up for Amazon's DVD rental scheme. Ten pounds a month for six DVDs which can be kept for an indefinite amount of time. They have a huge selection as well.
I know I'm late - where's the booze?

Obnoxious, isn't it?  There was a group/pack/herd of wild parrots that lived in my neighborhood in west Los Angeles when I was younger.  While they were entertaining to watch, the noise would drive you crazy!!

Sorry, I meant March of the Penguins, not Polar Express. I was going to take the boys to see this at the cinema as it's had very good reviews although I think i'd sob like a baby at the penguins losing their children and all the other cruelties of nature :\\\'(

OMG march of the penguins was So sad but so well done.

actually, that wasn't the sad bit.  do not, i repeat do not watch the national geographic extra unless you want to get severely depressed.  it's a great wake up call to global warming but OMG my mom and i were so disturbed at the end we had to shut it off.  :(
