We've already watched the pilot and four episodes since yesterday - we're loving it too!

Dammit - we just finished the first series, only to find out that Series 2 isn't available in the UK!  >:( What the hell?!
Ok, so I'm smug.

Just got back from a few lovely lazy days in Big Bear, and we rented and watched:

(finally) Notes on a Scandal - WOW.  What a powerful, powerful, beautifully written and acted film.

Miss Potter - gorgeous and charming.

After the Wedding - very ... Danish.  Yet one of those films that stays with you and in a way becomes more interesting after you've watched it and think about it a bit.

Its been in my cupboard for ages and I usually look at it and go "meh" and pick something else...but I finally watched it after having ot for quite a few months and I was glued...I thought it was a great film.  :)

I want to see this!

I watched Iron Man, it was eh.  I did enjoy looking at Robert Downey Jr. for two hours though.

Also saw Hancock which was better then I thought it would be. And, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, also better then I thought it would be.  Both on the plane back to the UK.

Lars and the Real Girl which was fairly decent, cutesy and full of glurge (with added quirk).  It was a lot better than the DVD before that which was The Happening, which was really bad.  Apparently, what was happening in that movie was bad writing and acting.
