I'm really glad you didn't speak badly of our (Chary and I) Robert!!!  I did like the movie (And own two copies) but I'm a teenager at heart! :P

We watched Burn After Reading last night. I thought it was OK.  I was expecting it to be better.  Maybe it was the mood I was in.  But also, I never thought there would be a time where I didn't think George Clooney was dreamy.  Not so much in this one!

Yeah, he looked old and dumpy, didnt he? LOVED Brad Pitt, especially sitting in the car sucking on his water bottle ;D

We saw Charlie Wilson's War last night.  I enjoyed it, DH not so much - we agreed it was a film very much targeted for an American audience.

OMG!  I'm not usually a Brad Pitt fan, but his headphone jamming, was hysterical.

Mama Mia! Whatever happened to casting people for musicals who can sing!?!?!? Some people sang decently, but ugh, Pierce Brosnan is not one of them!

That's why I love ya!

We watched Body of Lies, the Ridley Scott film, with Leonardo DiCaprio. I really liked it.

We just got that in our Netflix! I'm planning to watch it later today.

I thought it was excellent, saw it on the plane last year going to visit (then) DF, we watched it a while back when it came on Sky and I liked it better than DW.

Yeah, I didn't entirely understand why DH didn't like it so much - he said he thought it was confusing as to what sort of stance (POV) it meant to take...I said I thought that was part of the point of the film - like nothing is just black and white like so, IYKWIM?  We both thought if it had been more critical in its depiction of events (he thought it was too glorifying...whereas I thought the criticism was there in a subtle way) - it would have turned off American audiences, rather than inviting them to examine our role in the way events have played out.

Caramel--a Lebanese film centered around a beauty shop in Beirut and the lives of the women who work there.  Lovely and surprising.

I'm with you on that.

I've deleted the rest of what I wrote as it would have been a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen the movie.

Idiocracy

We rented that a while back. Really silly! I nearly peed when Luke Wilson said "There was a time when people cared whose a$$ it was and why it was farting." LOL!  :) It was good for a laugh or two! What did you think?

The Secret Life of Bees.
Liked it, well cast.  Cried my eyes out.  Must read the book again now.
