We watched the original black & white Miracle on 34th Street last night.  Working our way through all of my classic must-see Christmas films this week.  We saw A Christmas Story last week.  Still coming up:  White Christmas, and the pièce de résistance, It's a Wonderful Life;D
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

Us too.  Except for White Christmas.  I am fully prepared, once again, to cry at the point where the Dutch girl meets Santa.  I have no idea why, just the little girl looks so lost and sad.  HA! I am sappy.

Aww - I tear up at the end, when Susie gets her house, Doris & Fred kiss and everybody's Christmas dreams finally come true!  :\\\'( :)

White Christmas is all about the Sisters fan dance!  Both when Rosemary & Vera do it, as well as when Bing & Danny do it!  :P  (plus The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing - but I'm a big sucker for musicals)

Gremlins (It's a Christmas movie--and we forgot!), but it was pretty boring, to be honest.
Also, Scrooged--much better.

I just saw Gran Torino and I thought it was an excellent film!

Trouble is though, I can see me being a seriously grumpy bar steward like that !

Clint is getting on a bit now, was it just for effects in the film or is he really as frail looking in real life nowadays?

Cheers, DtM! West London & Slough UK!
