Well I fell asleep not very far into Sexy Beast last night (with Ben Kingsley), curled up next to DH on the sofa.  So I can't really say I watched it. :P
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

The Machinist

Wow. Watching Christian Bale in that was actually painful.
I know I'm late - where's the booze?

Helen Mirren is so definitely going to be nominated for an Oscar.

The Constant Gardener.

If you haven't seen it, put it on your must-watch list.

Funny, that's on the laptop waiting to be watched.

Watched The Illusionist with Ed Norton and Paul Giamatti last night. A disappointingly generic film. Too bad since I'm a massive Norton and Giamatti fan, but what can you do? Makes me wonder about the NYTimes reviewer who practically drooled over it.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2

there's a scene where the head hunters are chasing Jack Sparrow lobbing fruit at him. Jessica asks "why are they chasing him?"
"Because they want to eat him"
"why?" she asks
"they're hungry" Phil replies
" Why didn't they just eat the fruit? Sometimes boys are stupid" she proclaims
