Didn't see this posted anywhere-apologize if I missed it.
BMI was approved Oct 20, 2005. Chicago-Manchester. They have a pet reception outside of Manchester airport in the Pets on Jets building. And get this-the price is $600 LESS than on BA-it's the airport handling and processing charges at Man airport that are much cheaper than Heathrow! I spoke with Pets on jets, and the waiting time to pick up your pet is usually within one hour as opposed to the "up to 4 hours" that Heathrow quoted me.
The people at BMI cargo in Chicago have been wonderful, as well as the Manchester airport people. I am booked to leave Nov 30th, and I will let you all know.
