« on: November 07, 2005, 02:52:41 AM »
Hopefully in Feb 06, I will be sending my FLR in. I think it takes 2 weeks or so to get it. Do they send a temporaliy NIN to you with it or do I apply for it afterwords? Thanks
Posted my FLR (M) on May 9th 2006 and got my visa on Jun 2nd 2006.

Nice and concise :)  Good to know though, I'm glad it was asked because I'll be doing that in less than a year.

You call your local job centre to get an appointment.

In the meantime, if you need a temporary number it's simply TN + DDMMYY (your birthday) + M or F (male/female).

So, a male born on December 15, 1970 would be TN151270M.

For some reason they don't record your name with a temporary number. When I went down he just said to use it. I don't know how it's actually tied to your name then but that's what they did with me.
