Who wants a challenge?!

Anyone up for a challenge?
I'd like to see what your ideas would be in creating a weight loss meal plan for me for 5 days next week... (would like to lose at least 3 pounds next week, if poss...)

Breakfast, i would have at home.
Lunch... i would need to 'brown-bag', cos im working a late shift, and our canteen will be closed.
Tea... i finish work at 7, home by 8, and in bed by 10.... so needs to be something really small and light and quick (ideally, something that doesnt have to be cooked).

Any ideas?    I can organise my own portion control, if anyone can just give me some low-cal, low-fat suggestions.   Thanks in advance!  :)

I wish I could help, otterpop.  Thinking about that kind of thing stresses me out. :P  (Everything stresses me out!)  I bet Lola would come up with something good though & prolly a few others on here too.

Breakfast: oatmeal (porridge) is great. Or whole grain toast with an egg (quickly scrambed or 'fried' in a non-stick pan). A piece of fruit or juice. Tea of coffee.

Lunch: Doing your own wraps is good: fill with chicken, humous, veggies, etc. It's quite easy to do a low fat mexican version if you are so inclined!

Tea: Stir fries are good. Try this one: minced pork cooked with soy sauce, garlic and ginger (use only a tiny bit of oil to get the garlic and onions going). When pork is done, add cooked rice (for 2 people I'd use one cup uncooked rice). Mix well. Then just before serving, throw in a bag of prepared stiry fry veg (carrots, bean sprouts, cabbage, etc and one or two sliced spring onions). This can be eaten as is, or served over shredded iceberg lettuce. Sounds strange but really good. Add more soy to taste. You can also had hot sauce if you are into a bit more heat.

Will have to think of some more evening meal ideas...

Other brekkie ideas:  warm Wheatabix w/mashed banana.  Low fat Greek yoghurt w/cinammon, honey, raisins and chopped nuts.  No bake peanut butter oatmeal 'cookies'.

Do you like humus?  I have a recipe to make it w/roasted red pepper.  Then stuff a pita w/humus, sliced tomato, and olives (I use canned).  GREAT lunch!  I also do a fierce white bean dip to stuff a pitta or spread on a tortilla. 

Tea - don't leave out pasta alternatives like couscous and quinoa.  Also the humble jacket potato, but with homemade chilli con carne and cheese, tuna nicoise, and cheese w/Worstershire sauce under the grill.  For a quickie meal, we saute bacon pieces and then mix w/pasta tossed in a dressing of lemon juice, melted marg, chopped olives and garlic.  You can add some fresh chopped tomato, too.

I do a LOT of stews and soups - thickened w/kidney, canellini, barlotti or black beans and red lentils.  Lower fat that creme and adds some veg in.

Hey otterpop, I just wanted to say one thing......the best diets are actually the ones that take you longer to lose weight.  The slower you lose weight the easier it is to keep it off, or at least that's what it said in one of my fitness magazines. :)
