I'm looking, too, b/c I am craving Russian Tea this winter, but want the regular stuff, not the diet/low-cal.

What is russian tea?  I've never heard of it?  Am I thick?

Please someone post back if they find Tang. It'll be one less thing I need to pack! (I use it to make Orangatangs!)

I found Tang all over Central and Eastern Europe and Africa... so a nice reason to travel if you can't find it in the UK.

Sorry, I missed this the last time... what's an Orangatang?  ;)

Russian tea is tea, Tang, lemonade, sugar, cinnamon and cloves

Equal parts cranberry juice, Tang and Vodka! You can drink it over ice or put it in the blender with the ice and make a slushy.  [smiley=drunk.gif]

Russian tea can be made with either OJ or pineapple juice and cinnamon or cloves (or both spices).  I was taught to use frozen concentrated OJ rather than straight juice.

I guess you could make it with real orange juice or orange squash instead of tang?

I haven't made it over here yet, but I suspect if I did that I would use regular OJ plus make the tea a bit stronger than normal.

I do remember once seeing frozen concentrated OJ in Asda.

I've found both Orange and Grape Tang in some of the smaller Chinese food stores in Manchester.  They also sell Lipton's ice tea as a powder, so it is available, just need to be a bit adventurous in your searches cause you never know where something familiar will show up.   :)

Yeah, you could, but you'd need a place to keep it cool.  We don't have a fridge at work anymore, so I was hoping to make it as a powdered mix you could just add hot water to, b/c we do have a kettle.

ooh, I wanna have drinks at your house Paula!  ;)

Tang and vodka reminds me of my Kenya days... cheap days we'd use generic Tang mix and cane spirits/aka "hairspray". Squash was always available too, no worries about grainy after taste though. Since I didn't have electricity, the water barrel served as the "refrigerator"... wow, I can taste it as I type, ew  :P

Come on over...as soon as I have a house, that is!

You can make it with orange juice instead of Tang (it's actually better that way) but my friends here like the extra sweetness Tang gives it. Me, I don't care...as long as it has vodka in it, it's okay by me!

I found this mix from an off brand over here it's called Weasel (you know like the Christmas Carol) but it tastes EXACTLY like Russian tea.
I'll have to have a look in the store this week (it's only sold seasonally) and I'll bring one over next week :)
Only Time will tell.. it's just too bad she's a closed mouth B**!!!
