With my son I was absolutely convinced he was a girl the entire pregnancy.

I just don't have any feeling one way or another.  As long as it's here and healthy and I don't have to be pregnant anymore, I'm a happy camper.

This is it for us, and we don't care either way as long as the baby is safe and healthy.

There are pros and cons to both.

Aillidh's heartbeat never wavered in labour, either, despite her being malpresented - face up and w/her hand by her head - and needing a forceps delivery after 24 hours of labour.

I just forget how toatsy they are when they're first born.  Even 'large' babies are still so tiny.

If he does grow up into a footballer, he wont thank his mum for calling him 'twee' in utero!  ;)

I was told that if you carry most in front, it's a girl, if around hips it's a boy - no certainty of course, but I carried both in front, and both were girls.  With the second one, I was worried, as I only gained 7 lbs.  My dr told me not to worry, just to stop reading all the pregnancy books, I was doing fine!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

I carried my daughter around the hips, but she is definitely a wee girl!

I'm tellin' ya, all these things are pure speculation.

The chinese callander was wrong for both my kids.  With my first pregnancy, everyone thought I was going to have a boy.  When I went into the hospital in labor and was hooked up to the monitor, her heart rate was 120's and all the midwives there said for sure it would be a boy.  A few hours later, Sophia was born.  With my son, I was convinced he would be a girl and was shocked when he wasn't.  All I could see were giant looking boy parts when they handed him to me.  It took me a while to come to terms with him being a boy, but wouldn't change him for the world now.

The calendar and ring were right for me w/Aillidh.

But I'm glad I have no 'feeling' what this one is.  So often, the 'feeling' turns out to be wrong, anyway.

Don't really care, tbh, as long as it's OVER soon and healthy, b/c this hobbling around like a cripple is getting old.  There really are pros and cons to both, and we have SO many lovely girl clothes.   :)  It would have been nice to have a chance to find out, however.

I grew up w/a sister and have no experience of wee boys.  I enjoyed having a sister.

My dad grew up w/2 sisters and 2 brothers.  He was happy to have a second girl himself!  ;)

By the time labour arrives and is finished, I think most folks are just happy it's all in the past!

Do you have any names picked out yet?

Yep!  Roisin Louise for a girl and Logan (no middle name chosen) for a boy.

But of course, he/she could come out and not look like either name, so we haven't staked our hearts on any yet.

We'll just wait and see and the baby will let us know what to name him/her.

Andrew found it on a website and it just happened to be the street where I lived - before coming to Scotland - the happiest time in my adult life.  Logan Street.  In The Lori Apartments.  Ah, those were good times . . .

This is it for us!  Two is enough for us.
