baby loves noise

Courtney absolutly won't sleep unless theres noise. While I was pregnant I was always around hubbys family so I guess thats why she needs noise to sleep. When I lay her in her moses basket to sleep I either have to put a dvd on or play DJ all night ,as I'm typing this I am going through my song lists, if I turn it off she will grumble even in her sleep. She even has a specific type of music she likes and dislikes. Even when shes awake she needs to be around noise or she gets grumpy lol I guess its a good thing though, I don't have to worry about noises waking her up ;D

anyone elses baby love noise?

When Ellie was an infant, she would nap in her swing while we watched TV in the evening, and then I'd give her her last feed and move her into the bassinet when we went up to bed.  So, she was used to sleeping through noise!  It was great because, as she got older, we wouldn't have to worry about tiptoeing around while she was sleeping.

A lot of babies like noise. I cant remember how many times i got Jack Jack to sleep with the sound of my blowdryer! Also when Jordan and Brett were babies they would actually sleep to the sound of jet fighters flying overhead as we lived on an AF base.

The only way I could get mine to sleep during the day for the first four months was to put him in the sling and vacuum.  I have never had cleaner floors in my life! ;D

Oh yeah, I forgot about the noise from the vacuum!  Of course, now, she runs from the room screaming when the vacuum comes to life.

I finally found a song that Courtney loves. Its "In The Arms of an Angel" by Sarah McLachlan. I am gobsmacked at how much she likes it. No matter how upset, grumpy or how deep in a crying fit she is, as soon as I put it on she instantly calms down and falls asleep, then gives lovely coo's in her sleep as its playing. As soon as I shut it off she grumbles until I put it back on, no other song works like that lol

Izzy was like that, and still is, with "Sara Smile" by Hall and Oates.  If she is grizzly, I just turn it on and she's happy and goes right to sleep.  She also has two favorite commercials that we recorded and play over and over for her to calm her.  One is the Hotpoint ad with "Easy" by the Commodores.  The other is the noodle ad with "Since You Been Gone" by Rainbow.  My DH says she was born in the wrong decade.   :)
