Okay, this is sad, but

my mom used to make jewelry and she made a charm bracelet for me with breast cancer charms, "laugh" charms, and a photo of her in a little frame.

She gave it to me before she died of breast cancer in january so I would always think of her when I wear it.

83.  my scrapbooks
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

85. Poems and short stories I wrote when I had time to be creative (prior to having children [smiley=laugh4.gif])
"Mind is the Master power that molds and makes,
And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes
The tool of Thought, and, shaping what he wills,
Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills:
He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass,
Environment is but his looking glass."
