I didnt wear maternity clothes till about 14 weeks with my first son. Sooner with my others.
I have fours sons and carried differently with all of them. My last son Jack was so low I felt he was around my knees!   ;D

I didn't have to wear actual maternity stuff until I was at six months.  According to my OB, my physiology is such that I carried him more inside than outside.  Plus I only gained 20 pounds during my pregnancy, which helped.  The downside to all of this is I never looked pregnant, just fat.  The upside is that I was back in my old jeans two week after he was born!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

I'm 21 weeks today and only wearing maternity trousers if I really feel like it. I can wear all my normal clothes but in the last week, they are a tad tight. I'm a big girl to start with but lost 8 pounds in the first trimester with food issues! Only now am I starting to gain that back. But, I suspect I'm like FunGirl - I've got very wide hips so lots of room for the little one to stay safe inside!

That said, we'll see what happens in the next few months!  :)
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

My maternity trous are now no longer big enough. :\\\'(  I'm reduced to drawstring trousers which keep slipping down my massive bump.

10 days in front of my due date now . . .

why do they recommend no underwires during preganacy?
If you harbour bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

b/c they can interfere w/your milk production.

I think because they can get uncomfortable.  Reminds me, I need to go get a few.

They can cause blocks in your ducts.

I actually found them VERY comfortable, but was warned off them b/c they could interfere w/milk supply.

Nothing wrong w/mine this time!  I'm already expressing and freezing!

Underwires.  They don't recommend you wear them after you give birth if you are breastfeeding, in addition to maternity.

Ok, got it.  that is why I'm getting new ones today.  Where did you get yours?  I got one on ebay, but I think I should have gotten a bigger size.  Maybe I should get measured.

I've heard no underwires while nursing, but have never heard no underwires while pregnant.  Granted, it wasn't an issue, because I found them uncomfortable as I got bigger.  I bought some nursing bras to wear during my pregnancy, thinking I could use them after when I was breastfeeding, but I got so big that I couldn't even wear those bras!!

I have not gotten that much bigger on top yet, when did you all start?.  Do they just keep growing during the months?
