Morning Sickness.....again!?
« on: December 09, 2005, 11:34:36 AM »
I had M/S from about 6 1/2 weeks till 13 weeks.  It's been pretty much gone until the last few days.  Anyone else have this happen to them?

Could just be that your stomach is getting pushed out of shape now because of the uterus size? Or, is it only in the morning? The bigger you get, the more frequent but smaller meals you'll need or else you might feel sick or get heartburn. Are you eating spicey foods before bedtime?

No it's all day like before.  Only queasiness too, which can be just as bad as there is no relief.  I've had heartburn only once.  Hmm, Spicy?  I don't think I've had much the last few days.

I think it's the stomach being pushed up like geally suggests.

Oh, I've HAD to have many curries and hot dishes every day now for the past two days.  I literally want them for breakfast.

I crave all things savoury and spicy.  Just the smell of the Balti house makes me squeal w/delight.  The baby sommersaults when I get near them.

I've been pouring chilli flakes on everything.

I suffer from Morning sickness all through my pregnancies, from start to finish.  I was told it was due to high hormone levels.  It can be so unpleasant.

It can be wretched!  I've had acid reflux in both mine.  My torso is not very big, so baby occupies a lot of it.

Mine wasn't in the morning, it was always after 4PM.  Wasnt as bad this time, but it's such a horrible feeling.

In the beginning I only had bad nausea up until about 10 weeks. Then my last 2 months I got sick because my heartburn was so bad. I got sick about once a day at that point. I had a small bump. I was all baby. So she contantly gave it to me

OK, so this is normal then!  I always say M/S is a good sign ;D

Mine is not in the morning either, usually starts at 11 or 12 till I go to sleep.  Lucky me!

I had a boy and never had any morning sickness. Do those of you that had girls subscribe to the idea that you have a lot more m/s when you carry girls?

The only meaning anything has is the meaning you give to it.       ~Author Unknown

I was sick all day everyday with all three of my daughters and for the entire pregnancy non the less. One of my doctors did say that was usually a sign of high hormone levels and he thought it was typical of carrying girls. I can't says for sure as I have only carried girls, but friends of mine who had biys and girls have said that it was worse while pregnant with their daughters than with the sons.

Sounds weird, but I also had a huge problem with acid reflux and heartburn and I found each time that a small scoop of very rich vanilla ice cream helped.

About the acid reflux, I'm not sure if this is a old-wives tale or is fact, but they say if you have a lot of acid reflux during pregnancy the baby will have a lot of hair. And its so true, I had it horribly during pregnancy to the point of vomiting. And when she came out she had a full head of hair and hairy legs

Two pregnancies, the first with no morning sickness and I had a girl.  The second, horrible morning sickness, also a girl.

So no, didn't work for me!  ;D

That is a bit weird . . . Nicholas had not only a full head of hair when he was born but hair down his back as well. He continues to be strangely hairy - the GP commented on it once asking if either Richard or I had African/Carribean lineages.  Neither of us do so the he just said Nicholas will be  a "hairy lad". Oh yeah, almost forget - I had THE WORST indigestion with him. Awful and painful.
I know I'm late - where's the booze?

My HV asked the same thing, neither of us have any of those nationalitys either. She has hair on her lower back and all over her legs..I commented to hubby that we should buy her a razor for Christmas :P

Yeah! This is just the same as Nicholas.  Sorry to inform you that it doesn't seem to change with age. Nicholas will be four in Feb and he's a  really hairy little guy.
