My mother just makes them with Mircle Whip (real mayo would probably even be better).  She puts the egg yolks in the food processor to get them super chopped/whipped up.  Then she mixes in the Mircle Whip.  Then puts that mixture in a cake decorator's bag with a star like tip and squeezes them into the white halves for a really finished look.  Then she just sprinkles them with a bit of paparika for color.  It's a really plain recipe but oh SOOO GOOD! :D

I grew up with Mircle Whip, but I like Helman's too.  I think the two taste completely different...

I just use mayo mixed with finely chopped chives and paprika on top. Easy peasy.

Jon loves them and if they weren't so unbelievably bad for you, I'd make them more.

I introduced my mates to devilled eggs. They all loved them.

I recently tried a recipe that used goats cheese instead of mayo. They were YUMMY! Very creamy/rich. I'll see if I can dig up the recipe after work and post it.

My nephew once asked my sister to make him devilled eggs, she boiled the eggs, peeled and halved them, and took the yolks out, set them aside, and was going to finish it later. My nephew came in, and ate all the yolks, not realizing that they were needed for the filling. We still tease him about that.

i used to think that but i'm sure i read somewhere it's not true.  i'll try and remember where i saw that.

They were advertising here in the UK that eggs weren't as high in cholesterol as once thought.

I love devilled eggs. My mama knew exactly how to make them so I think I'll get her recipe. I know it included sweet pickle relish. My work is having a Christmas Lunch and everyone's supposed to bring in something sweet or savoury to eat. I'm bringing in a pumpkin pie and potato salad -- American-style!

The dairy industry has tried hard to combat the bad publicity eggs have gotten. They don't come out and say eggs are not bad for you, they just advise that moderation is everything. But, since I don't eat fried foods or anything else cholesterol rich, I feel safe in eating all the eggs I want.

I love deviled eggs and have received many compliments on mine. Unfortunately, I can tell you the ingredients but not amounts as I just throw the stuff in a bowl.

Hard-boiled egg yolks, mashed; mayo; mustard (tiny bit); sweet pickle relish; garlic powder; onion powder; dash of cajun seasoning; dash of sugar; mix well; garnish filled eggs with paprika for color.
