More cramping
« on: December 21, 2005, 08:01:05 PM »
I just got a sharp pain in my lower abdomen.  I think I am playing mind games with myself after my awful Dr. visit on Monday, but has anyone else had this?  For the most part, the cramping has been mild, but the sensation I got a minute ago was more severe.

I just read about your doc experience on Monday, sorry to reply so late but have been feeling poorly.  I hope you do take the time to report him!  As for the sharp pain, I wouldn't worry, I've had some that are more severe than others and I even had a constant pain on one side of my abdomen that freaked me out (thought ectopic pregnancy) but it went after a few hours.  It's probably just ligaments stretching, so don't worry!

Try eating something. I had that in early pregnancy and it was because I needed to eat.   If you're worried and want to talk to a health professional you can call NHS Direct: 0845 4647 for advice.

are you spotting at all or just cramping?
a lot of pregnant women cramp in early pregnancy around the same time they're suppose to be starting their period

I had some shooting pains during the first few weeks.  I wouldn't call them cramps, I just figured it was things rearranging itself and some endrmetriosis getting broken up.  If it really worries you I'd talk to someone.

Yep, lots of stuff going on in there, which is all normal.  Unless it was really severe and lasted more then a minute or so at the most (Even a few minutes)  Then I'd say call the Dr.

i had LOADS of cramping and stabbing pains w/both my girls, including spotting w/my second.  unless it's severe, accompanied by heavy bleeding, it's pretty normal.

I think every woman experiences a lot of different "weird" things in early pregnancy, cramping, unusual pains, etc. Talk to your doctor or a health care professional. I don't think you'll stop worrying until you do.  [smiley=hug.gif]

Yes, I agree with you. Each pregnancy has differences, and some of the things we did not experience with one, we may with another. You will always worry, no matter what, as there is someone else in your body now, doing their own thing.

If you are really worried, go to the Doctor, but you know that already. *Hugs* Feel better.

just a piece of advice , don't read those pregnancy websites that say "you should be feeling this at such and such time" you will drive yourself insane,
every pregnancy is differant!
