What about:

-Sunset blues, you were no one unless you had the pants and/or jacket
-Satin jackets
-Jelly bracelets
-Does anyone remember those necklaces that had all those different charms you could buy and clip on?
-Scrunci - who didn't have every color under the rainbow
-Permed hair
-Blue or purple mascara

These were big in my area, some may have been in the early 90's, can't remember.

Oh boy..yep the blue and purple mascara  ;D

What about the shirts that you could fold up and turn into a purse.. all my friends and I had those  ::) Yeah not sure why I would ever need to suddenly convert my shirt to a handbag lol

Two words - Trapper Keeper

And did anyone have a jean jacket that you either wrote all over and/or had about a dozen or so buttons with different sayings? Guilty of both.

I would draw on my jeans, drove my mother nuts.

We would also wear those big bows in our hair, did anyone ever do that?

And I remember shirts with sequins on them, and fringe. God, what were we thinking?  ???

LOL! No, I didn't do the bows... I was one of those scary goth chicks with the ripped fishnets, and pink Chuck Taylors.

But I did rip up a fair bit of clothing to suit my style.

Yeah, I had a pair of jeans so ripped up I'm surprised they were still wearable. I was more of a prep in high school, but had friends that were "geeks", "goth", you name it.

Me too! I loved those books. I would read them over and over. My Mom just got rid of them a few years back. They had little Nacho Cheese Dorrito fingerprints smudged on the pages.

I asked my mom what happened to mine....they're still here. I think I might try to sell them on ebay? Are pre-teens still reading them?
