The funny thing is I don't know any Jacks. Not one.  I know one of Pebbles' sons is called Jack but that's the only Jack I have ever come across.

Well, it's mostly children I'd think, since it's only been so popular the last decade or so.  Wait until your son is in school - he'll probably have eight Jacks in his class!

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

We know Jacks.  We know more teenage Toms though.  Every family we know has a Tom.

My dad is Jack (Really Jackie as in Jackie Mason or Jackie Robinson)
My nephew is also Jack.

Don't tell Rich the names he likes are in the top 10, we are finally getting somewhere!
I LOVE everyone of the girls names too! (Well almost at least)  Katie is my niece and they wanted to name her Jessica!

I don't know any Jacks.  ???

Amongst my coworkers, geographic names for daughters seem to be the trend. In an office of 30, there is a Madison, Brooklyn, and a Sierra.

The only meaning anything has is the meaning you give to it.       ~Author Unknown

I don't know any Jacks either.

I know way too many Bens, Catherines and Claires. There are three Catherines and a Katie on my team at work, which only consists of eight people.

years ago when I still thought I might have children, I always wanted to call my girls Ceara (I've been told it's the Welsh spelling of Keira) and Siobhan.
for the boys (if any) Ciarain (I see it more often as Kieron?) and Brian or Paul

I've noticed there's a lot of Annes and Emmas in the UK

My father-in-law is named Jack.

I think Jack is popular because it's a cool sounding name. Tough, sexy, trendy, traditional, crosses all class boundaries, a plumber or a President can be called that and be perceived as dashing, intelligent and approachable. It's just a cool name!

Andrew seems to be very popular as well. I think I know about eight different ''Andrew's'', including DH.  :)

I really like the name Jack and would have used it for one of my sons.  DH used to work with a guy called Jack and couldn't stand him so he vetoed that name and picked the kids names:  Noah, Abigail, and Luke.
