Graham Crackers
« on: November 07, 2003, 08:34:33 PM »
I have this great recipe for Cherry delight cheesecake. It calls for a graham cracker crust. l have tried digestives and well they are disgusting in the recipe. Anyone know where l can get some graham crackers or do you have another idea l could use? Thanks

Most recipes that call from graham cracker crumbs are just as good with either Nilla wafers or similar or crushed Oreos.  Perhaps shortbread cookie crumbs???

Try the Rich Tea Biscuits maybe? They're similar in taste.

I know this may sound stupid, but I wonder if Golden Grahams (the cereal) would work?
Insert wonderfully creative signature here …

Did you put sugar in with your digestives? Some digestive crust recipes don't call for it and it makes all the difference.  I swear it tastes just like graham cracker crust...if you've got the sugar in.  Without it, it's blah, blah, blah.

I use 4 oz digestives, 2 oz butter and 1.5 oz sugar.

Or you could also use Hobnob biscuits crushed up.
