This is ridiculous, but I'm still annoyed.  My grocery delivery just arrived, and with it a container of ice cream I didn't order.  I wasn't charged for it or anything, but I've been doing really well with my diet, which means full-fat yummy goodness like that cannot come in the house -- it's diet Skinny Cows for me because they're low-cal and come in single serving packages.  I think this thing is a liter and it's just cruelly taunting me.  ::)

Like I said, ridiculous.
Sounds like a diabolical conspiracy!  :o

The three legged cat who comes to visit me for petting every day has died of a brain tumor.  I'll miss you Teddy.  :(

Oh, I'm so sorry.

My IA: I'm starving and stressing. I think I might pop into DH's work just to get a hug to cheer me up.

effin' insurance companies that won't return you phone calls.

ARGH
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Uggh!!!

I hate her, I never hate anyone, not even the old, old landlord who gave me trouble.  But the contempt I have for this woman is unreal- because not only does she go on and on but she treats you like a 3 year old and talks real slow to you like you're an idiot.   ::) ::)

Nope, 'cause she's gonna charge me something stupid like £45/hour for the professional cleaners

You should call Shelter if you are unsure of your rights and have a look at their website.  I know some of the rules in England and she really can't do what she is trying to with you but I am not sure if these rules differ from Scotland.

For instance, if you have a deposit scheme, the landlord has to give an itemised deduction of things withheld and otherwise has to give back the deposit within 14 days (I think).  They can't charge you for reasonable wear and tear.  They have to charge competitive rates for cleaning, etc.  And there are also rules for moderation.  I would check it out because if the rules are anywhere near the same, you will get your money back.  And if you don't, I would go to moderation on principle.

PB, get some advice. I second Sara and check with Shelter

http://scotland.shelter.org.uk/

or the Scottish Legal Aid Board
http://www.slab.org.uk/about_us/index.html

or Citizen's Advice Scotland:

My heart crushed a little for you, Tin.

Went out for the first time since Friday and it was raining. Sigh.

Low mist and fog!!! DH works on a rig and the low mist has made it so the first wave of pepole haven't even left (helicopters won't fly) and DH is on the 2nd wave.
Grrrr I will get quite pissing if he doesn't make it home tonight.

Poor Maxwell is trying his best to deal with the mouse population but it would take an army of cats. I left him this morning jabbing his paws under the de-humidifier and sort of whimpering in frustration. Hope I don't find any pressies on my bed when I get home  ::)

Whilst going over the inventory yesterday, I had accidentally packed up in my stuff a nutmeg grater and a measuring jug, so I said I would drop them off when I found them
Well the cow called me and said "You were going to drop them off, but I think you may have forgotten and we urgently need that stuff back for the tennant starting at the beginning of August"

Oh my goodness, the new tennant is going to come into the house and go "Wow, this flat has no nutmeg grater.  Whatever are we going to do"   ::) ::) ::)

AHHH I am so socially inept.  I was waiting to talk to someone at the place where I ride. So I had to stand creepily and wait around.  And then they never came (all the while all these other people were talking) so then I had to creepily stand behind them and write a note (all in total silence while obviously listening in to their conversation because I was. standing. right. there.) Argh.
I'm sure they didn't really think I was tooo weird but it tormented me on the drive home.
