I had REALLY spicy Indian food lsat night (like, I didn't really want to finish it spicy, and I adore hot food), and now my tummy's not feeling so hot. :(

Dear UKBA,
I'm really nervous and I'll cry a lot if you don't grant my visa.  So, honestly just stamp that bad boy through and stop giving me insomnia and an ulcer.
Love (Regards),
Sarah

I'm now of the verge of tears and I'm shaking. I'm trying to pull all the pieces and evidence together.
I wish, wish, wish I had taken pictures of things. Stupid ,stupid, stupid me.

I think I need a solicitor- the letting agents have just told me that a bunch of appliances have failed PAT testing - "due to my negligence of keeping the flat damp"

Have you also considered calling the council's environmental health for advice? I am sure there was something on the Shelter Scotland website about this kind of thing.

Maybe http://scotland.shelter.org.uk/getadvice/advice_topics/repairs_and_bad_conditions/repairs_in_private_rented_accommodation/help_from_the_councils_environmental_health_department

((Hugs)), PB! Take it one step at a time. Don't be ahrd on yourself. Moving is stressful enough.

I'm so sorry.  I was completely losing my sh!t when our last landlord came after us -- crying, shaking, the works.  It's a horrible feeling to know they're spiteful, lying @$$holes and yet they somehow still are assumed to have the advantage.  We didn't have much documentation, either and I was really terrified.

I really hope this situation resolves as well as ours did.

 :(

Thanks guys, I'm pulling the pieces together and then I'm gonna call shelter. I don't deserve this bullying.

Hope it works out for you, Laura. ((HUGS))

We didn't get paid today like we were supposed to. We have no idea if we will be paid again or not because the company is so deep in the $hit right now. If not, we are totally screwed as we are deep into our overdraft.  :\\\'(

And my boob hurts so bad right now, all I want to do is cry. It looks awful and I'm totally stressed about what happens on Monday. On the one hand, I'm glad I got into the clinic so "soon," on the other hand, I don't understand why they are just giving the situation another week to get worse.  :-\\\\ :\\\'( :-[

Oh Jewlz -- you really are having a rough time. Hope next week is better for you.  :-*

My IA is that I finally got the report from my recent bone density scan. Says there has been slight improvement but my doc says to continue with the Fosamax, calcium and vit. D tablets. Then on the news they announce that people should avoid calcium tablets because of possible heart problems!  :P
The report also mentions that I have scoliosis. Not serious but just one more thing ...  >:(

The subway train I was on this morning became disabled and I ended up running for my bus to get to work on time.  On the upside, at least I made my bus, but only just.

phatbeetle and Jewlz, I do hope things get better for you.  Hugs to you both.

Which line was that, k? The Red Line was running (better than usual) when I came in.

One week before we arrive my parents let me know they are not going to "waste a vacation day"* to pick us up from the airport. The only reason we are flying in that day to JFK was because they said they wouldn't mind picking us up.

Now we have to take 2 trains, a subway, and one long bus ride, a total of a 6 hour journey after a 7 hour flight because neither of my parents don't feel like driving for 3 hours to pick up their daughter and son-in-law they haven't seen for more than 6 months.

* My mother, who is very capable of driving by herself, is a school teacher who HAS OFF ALL SUMMER. My dad gets 25 vacation days a year (more than DH & I) and has half day Fridays in the summer.
