ETA:  Oh yeah, and DH left all the washing up from yesterday afternoon & evening for me to do.  This is normally his job, but it's no big deal - I do it sometimes.  There's a lot of it to be done though.  And I hate washing up.  Grumble grumble grumble.
We never quite cleared the washing up backlog from when the pump first broke on Tuesday. So we have a kitchen full of dirty dishes, some of which are going on a week old. And it's usually his job, too, but I can't complain while he's elbow-deep in toilet pipes. :( It doesn't make for a fun cooking environment, that's for sure. :(
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London

Sep 06 - WP renewed again (screwed by 4-5 year ILR change)
Sep 07 - ILR!
March 09 - Citizenship!
July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!
Oct 12 - Amsterdam FULL marathon! 3:48:23!

I'm sorry Jewlz, fingers crossed you will see someone very soon!
Shugga, I found that our wii fit board is very sensitive about how it is placed in relation to the sensor...was it in the same place it always is?
SP, been there, done that with plumbing issues recently.
My IA is my Mother-I just can not get along with her.  She came in on the 29th of July and leaves on the 14th.

Red 5 I try an keep the Wii Fit board in roughly about the same place when I'm using it for my body check I have noticed that it can be a bit sensitive at times so that's why I try an keep in the same place as much as I can. I almost marked a spot on the carpet when I got an excellent reading but I didn't want to ruin the carpet though.  ::)  :P

I know it sounds completely horrible (of me) but the times that I got along with my mother best was when she was (in the end) totally doolally in the nursing home.  :-[  (So I can relate!  Hope you're able to enjoy the rest of your summer after she goes home.)

I'm sorry to hear about everyone's troubles today - that just sucks, Jewlz.  I don't blame you for being snippy.  Shugga you are doing so well, wouldn't let what the Wii says bug you.  And SP, all the plumbing & toilet problems just stink.

My IA is kind of lame by comparison - on Saturday DH accidentally dropped and broke the glass carafe that goes with our electric drip coffeemaker.  (We have a cafetiere, so there is a real, not instant, coffee backup here - thank goodness!)  So he rang up the UK/European service centre today to order a replacement carafe for it - nope that Braun product has been discontinued for the UK & is no longer available here.  Then we went on Amazon.com to order it over from the US, but they won't ship that item to the UK!  WTF!  DH sends me a text:  'Why does Braun hate British people?'  :P

Mrs Robinson your IA is just as important as the rest of our complaints I think anything that's annoying to you personally deserves to be on here not matter how petty or minute you think it is. Just for the record I Wasn't saying your IA is petty or minute I just wanted you to know that your IA'S are important as well.  ;)  :)

Thanks for the encouragement Mrs R  ;D  I know in reality its probably not right but some days its just really bugs me to my wits end!!  [smiley=shout.gif]  Dh says that to me all the time its probably not right don't pay any attention to it your doing a great job regardless of what the Wii says Dh is my rock!!  ;D   [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]   [smiley=hug.gif]  [smiley=love.gif]

Cheers!  :)

Hopefully, it is not awful for much longer - when one asks for clarification on feedback, you get quoted some regulation about not questioning the integrity of markers!  ??? ::) :o

They do not deserve my money. I am not getting anything out of it. I am actually relieved and happy.

My other IA is I burnt my tongue on my Broccoli Stilton soup last night and it feels weird.

I lived in uni accommodation for 1 month.  Despite that, I had to pay until they found someone else to take my place which didn't happen until January.  This is an entire other IA which I believe I expressed back then.

I only made a couple of payments back in October, and there was no record of them on my online payment account so I thought the amount they had me down for still owing was too much (woo hoo!).  It turns out they did have me down for those payments on their records, so the amount I owe is correct.   :(

I shouldn't owe them anything because I wasn't living there, but they're a sneaky bunch with some shady contracts. >:(

The worst thing is that I need that money to provide a good cushion for my PSW maintenance, but if I don't pay it I don't graduate which I need to do to qualify for PSW.  Ugh.  It's doable, but it's going to be a lean few months.

Must find job in September.

Not sure if this is the right place..... :-\\\\

I've started having finger, hand and arm tremors..it started off with my hand sorta twitching...and now my fingers and arms are joining along...at night my arms go to sleep as well..the physio said this bit could be because of the length I was under anaesthetics for my 3 surgeries ( over 7 hours both times) and I have nerve damage..she isn't sure about the tremors tho..

Have mentioned it several times to my GP but she keeps fobbing it off as my low iron count.

I am afraid it's some thing worse.  :-[

On top of everything else that's going on with my family...

DH got a cold sore last night and when he went to the dentist this morning after waiting 6 weeks to get in with his cracked tooth they told him that they couldn't see him because of the cold sore and the earliest they can fit him in is 2 September...

Oh, and the washing machine decided to crap out and started smoking while I was washing DH's work clothes this morning and the earliest they can come out to see if it can be repaired is Friday between 8-12...

Jeez...what's next?

I am gritting my teeth because, now that I've been overlooked (once again) in supervising this project but pressed into being the "assistant" because no one knows the procedures, the supervisors are ignoring my input and concocting endless pointless new procedures. The student workers are all totally confused because they've changed the process so many times. I was instructed in my first job on a similar project to accept what's in the database and get the stuff shifted but these guys are going to end up second-guessing everything.  Just one more signal that it's time to retire.  >:(

I went to Sushi for the first time since June at a place that's supposed to be amazing- and it was horrible.  Inedible.   >:(
