I have been looking for cheese cloth/muslin/jam cloth/jelly bags all week and haven't found it.  I have explained what I want to the people at Sainsbury's and Tesco and they have looked at me and said 'oh, yeah.  No we don't sell it.'  ARGH sometimes I miss Target so much :(

You won't normally find the rarer or more specialist cooking equipment in Supermarkets - try Robert Dyas on the high street or order from Lakeland (Lakeland have shops too, if you're in a big town) :)

Hope that helps!

No sooner does DH even mention the word BBQ, and the heavens opened up!  >:(

I hadn't thought of Lakeland.  I was near there today.  Oh well.  I got a tea strainer and closed it with foil.  It worked but was a bit of a pain.

I keep wanting to rub my eye that had surgery, and I'm not allowed to (I think for 3 weeks, which is going to be really annoying).

Pengi: My BF recently ordered jam making stuff from Lakeland bur forgot to get the straining bag :o/ But he's over the moon to be able to make his own pepper jelly. (I think he wound up putting a hanky across the bottom of a colander!)

My IA: I remember now why I always used one of the upstairs loos rather than the downstairs one - I cannot get the silly thing to flush!  I always have to wait for the tank to refill and then tell my BF to do it :o(

I was stuck in traffic next to brad paisley's bus last week.

I had to go to four different shops to find one that stocked Tampax Compaq. Seriously, you can tell men are doing the stock ordering, because no woman would ever buy the ginormous ones that take up three times the space when the smaller ones do the same thing. Boooooo.

Serioulsy! I was at the dreaded Walmart yesterday and looking for OBs. They had every kind in stock BUT those and those were almost cleaned out. :P
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I am getting more and more annoyed by the way people are pronouncing things these days. Case in point: we are hearing a lot about the "Golf spill" (there's a "u" in there, people!  >:()
Also, I am hearing more folks who have trouble with the "s" sound in words. Things like "frush-trating"

My eyes can't agree to cooperate and let me see stuff. :(

My left (crap) eye is...crap. It's massively nearsighted, but can at least focus on text if it's super close up.

My right eye is now farsighted, thanks to the surgery. It seems to be great for road signs, billboards, anything large-ish and far away. Any text closer than 10 feet? Forget about it.

So that means that most of my day is spent looking at semi-blurry text because my right eye can't see it and my left eye can but is crap at it. Given that my job involves staring at a computer screen for 8 hours/day, this isn't fun. :(

I'm hoping all of this improves as my brain gets used to the different images, but we'll see.

I'm glad you had such a good time on your holiday!  But just think - the fishies & Dylan were here waiting for you, and I missed you too!  :-*
