If it's like the leisure centre near me, they have 2 options for payment - either monthly direct debit (which can be canceled anytime given 30 days' notice to stop the bank draft) or PAYG. Both had annual fees, as well, but they still weren't too bad. Better than the gyms I joined in the states which locked you in for years at insane prices!
Yes here there is no induction fee (yay) and it would be monthly with no contract (yay)..
I'm having one of those really frustrated with my career kind of days. Blah.
I feel ya...I have those days LOTS I really need a new job outside my house
Tonight was my seventh day in a row working, and it was crazy.  At one point I had 14 people at the bar and six bar tables.  They all came in at approximately the same time.  I was by myself and the manager only helped me a little.  (Although she did praise me for not freaking out and handling myself well when I was slammed  :D)  Still, it was stressful and I had one lady yell at me for being "slow" and then tip me 5 bucks on $75.   ::)

After the mayhem began to slow down, my manager came up to me and asked me if I could cover a shift tomorrow.  I looked at her and said, "Well, I'd love to- but this is day 7 in a row for me." Her reply- "Well, can you?"  :P Really?

I said no.
Good for you Sarah! You still need "me" time and "fam/friend" time before you get over here!

My IA: studying for the theory test - I just hate it

While I car was parked in the local car parking lot someone stole the Mercedes emblem off the hood of our car yesterday.  :o   >:(  we have been parking in there for years an never had any problems with someone messing with our cars. granted it wasn't a newer model Mercedes but that's not the point it wasn't theres in the first place.  >:(  [smiley=beadyeyes.gif] I will never understand why people do that or why they break off people Antennas off peoples cars just for the sheer heck of it absolutely pointless.  ::)  :P  if we want a replacement it will cost us £15 that wasn't our fault in the first place grr!!   [smiley=furious3.gif]  [smiley=shout.gif]

I'm starving! It's lunch time and DH was just pulled into a meeting that will last who knows how long and he has our car keys in his pocket, so I can't even go home to walk the dog and make sandwiches to eat at our desks.  :-\\\\ >:(

My Pampered Chef bar pan was sitting on the stove this morning. DH accidentally knocked the knob, turning on one of the burners underneath the pan. He didn't realize it until the pan broke in half.  :( I've had it a long time, so it was well-seasoned. Poo.

I logged into my work computer this morning to find every file I've ever saved gone. All my links I had saved are gone. Everything is just gone. :'(

I had that happen the other day. Eeeek! But when I re-booted it all came back up. Phew.

Our hoover (new in December) keeps crapping out and needing to "cool off".  I know we're covered for a year, but I don't know if we need the box to send it back.  Wondering if I should just tough it out.  It's not like it happens every time I vacuum.  Just 2 out of 25 or so.

Also, for some reason, I thought I had read the last two pages of this thread, but I guess I only read a few pages back.  I am all discombobulated.

Could it be hair wrapped around the axel-thingy (I'm really good with technical terms, does it show?)? That's usually how I overheat hoovers.

That stinks!  That happened to a friend in college.  She was 40 pages into her thesis and had to redo it all from scratch.

My IA: was going to take a much needed "mental health" day tomorrow, but forgot I have a meeting in the morning, so I have to schlep in here for it (can't miss it)...I am taking a half day, so I guess it's better than nothing.

Be careful! It's Friday the 13th tomorrow. I'm staying home -- really a "mental health" issue!

Didn't even take that into consideration...guess I'll just be extra careful.   ;)

This whole entire day.  :P

My work computer deleted my account. It took tech support 3+ hrs to get my files back, and all my settings on my computer aren't like I had them before. :(

My car died at work after almost everyone else had left. The #2 person in charge at my office jumped me off. I'd never met them before, which just makes for an awful first impression.

In the process of getting my car jumped, my water bottle came open in my purse. My work notebook, day planner, gps, and other not water proof things got drenched. I just signed up to help teach preschool sunday school, and the entire teacher's book is soaking wet. Which makes for yet another great first impression!
